You don’t have to win all the time

I have been an entrepreneur for more than 25 years. I have had many achievements and even more failures that most are not aware of. You don’t have to win all the time. You just have to win more than you lose and after a while you just get better at getting it right all the time. I guess that’s what you call experience and wisdom. And this goes for business, family and everything else. Life is what we make of it and while we are doing it, we want to do it with people that we enjoy doing life with. It’s really that simple. I continue to grow education businesses, spend time with my core teams and also most importantly create beautiful memories with my little family. Always remember to enjoy the journey and not stress over the little and big things. It will always turn out for the better if your intentions are sincere with gratitude in action. I am always grateful for what I have and have not achieved as the journey continues for better days ahead. 🙏

Thank you for sharing this inspiring post! I completely agree with your perspective — I’ve also learned that staying positive and continuing to try, no matter how many times we fail, is what really leads to growth. Losing isn’t the end; it’s part of the process to identify what needs to improve. The more we reflect and adjust, the more our chances of winning increase over time. Eventually, the losses become just stepping stones — forgotten moments on the way to something greater. Your journey reminds me to enjoy the process and stay grateful throughout. 🙏

Yes, Mr. Ernie. Life is always full of ups and downs — what matters most is that we bounce back after setbacks and never give up easily. We need to find a way forward, identify the reasons behind our failures, learn from our mistakes, fix them, and keep moving.

Love what you do, rather than only doing what you love — because life doesn’t always go the way we expect. So take things lightly, but always do them seriously.

This reminds me of my time as an intern that success isn’t about never failing it’s about learning, growing, and staying grounded through it all it wont always be an easy road. Grateful to be part of a team that values both purpose and people.

Reading this reminds me why I’ve always respected your journey—not just for the wins, but for how you show up through the losses too. Thank you for sharing this. It’s a strong reminder that growth doesn’t always come from getting everything right, but from staying consistent, learning quickly, and holding onto our values along the way. Trust the process—everything happens for a reason.

As someone building in education and constantly facing new challenges, this line hit me the most: “You just have to win more than you lose.” That mindset is what keeps me moving, especially on the tough days.

And yes—doing life and work with people we genuinely enjoy is everything. That’s what gives meaning to the grind and depth to the wins. Thank you for being the kind of leader who reminds us to stay grateful, stay grounded, and keep building—not just businesses, but meaningful lives.

Here’s to more wins that matter and moments we’ll never forget.

Absolutely agree. Life’s journey is never a straight path—there are always highs and lows, moments of success and times of struggle. But over time, I’ve come to realize that what truly matters is who we share the journey with and how we choose to shape our lives. Life becomes far more meaningful when we build, grow, and experience it alongside people we genuinely enjoy being with. That connection, that shared sense of purpose, makes every challenge worthwhile. Everything eventually falls into place when we live with sincerity, gratitude, and a heart open to growth.

The key here is that we not always win. Life has many ups and downs. The biggest growth we experience is our actions when we are down. How we pick ourselves back up and grow from it. Thank you for this sharing.
