24 days on the road for business & pleasure with both the PORTMAN Top Management team & my little family. We officially launched our AI Powered PORTMAN University Global HQ at the University Club of Chicago. We were also very busy doing the recce for the inaugural graduation in 2026, setting up our banking facilities with the US Bank & East West Bank. In addition to that we also came to meet up with investment firms & private investors for our funds to be invested into South East Asia & American projects with the American Group. We also met up with a few business partners to develop new opportunities for the PORTMAN Education Group.
Business aside, this was a very important learning management retreat for my top management team as we also visited a lot of iconic tourist attractions and most definitely ate all the Chicago favourites that include deep dish pizza, Italian Beef, cheese burgers, Hot dogs, wings, nachos and of course lots of ice cream and coffee with a Halloween home party! All in all, it was an extremely productive trip for business & pleasure with my team.
As we move towards 2026, we have new and exciting exciting plans ahead for the next wave of exponential growth within the group and we look forward to work with each and everyone of you that are aligned with what we want to achieve globally. Have a great last quarter of the year in 2025 and close off with a big bang. 🇺🇸💯

✈️ From LA to Chicago — Our USA Learning Journey 🇺🇸
From Istanbul to Los Angeles, and finally to Chicago — this trip has been a true game-changer for us at PORTMAN. 💪🏻 Not just sightseeing, but a Top Management Learning Experience that opened our minds and strengthened our bond as a team.
In LA, we saw what “The Land of Freedom” really means — from Universal Studios and Hollywood’s dreamers to the chill vibes at Venice Beach. Every moment became a classroom. Each night, we debriefed with our Chairman, Mr. Ernie Chen, on lessons to scale PORTMAN higher (while our boss baby Genesis Chen was sound asleep 🤭).
We visited Google, YouTube, and WeWork, shaping ideas for PORTMAN Start-ups Incubation Campus 2026 🚀. Of course, the trip wouldn’t be complete without some “cultural research” 🤣, great food, and bonding with our top leaders Charles Gregory, Ranjini Morin Marimuthu & Ivy Loh.
Then came Chicago, home of PORTMAN University HQ! 🏫
A city full of life, art, and ambition. From movie scenes like Spiderman to 600+ parks and stunning skyscrapers — every spot inspired us. We also visited Google and Hamburger University to learn how world-class brands operate.
The highlight — launching the World’s First AI-Powered Accredited University right here in Chicago! 🇺🇸 Now fully set up with U.S. Bank and East West Bank, ready to scale 1,000X ahead. 📈
Americans impressed us — fast, direct, and result-driven. No sugarcoating, just solutions. That mindset itself was priceless.
Of course, we had our chill moments — birthday celebrations, visiting the Home Alone house, Obama’s residence, and yes… more “research” at night 🤣.
Through it all, our Chairman led, cooked, and inspired — not just as a leader, but as someone who truly cares. ❤️ This journey bonded our top team and sharpened our vision for the 1,000X growth ahead. 🚀

It’s amazing to see how far PORTMAN has come and how fast we’re growing globally! Hearing from Mr. Ernie and Ms. Ivy about their US trip was truly inspiring — from the launch of our AI-powered PORTMAN University Global HQ to the partnerships and opportunities explored with investors and institutions. It really shows how the group is scaling to a whole new level.
Even though I wasn’t part of the travelling team, listening to their stories and seeing the updates made me feel like I was part of the journey too. The experiences they shared gave a clearer picture of how big the vision really is, and how much potential there is for all of us to learn, grow, and contribute to PORTMAN’s next chapter.
As we move towards 2026, I believe it’s now up to every department to take ownership and strengthen our own operations so that the top management can continue focusing on strategic growth and expansion.
