What I learnt from Winnie Loo .....

I had the privilege to interview Winnie Loo today and it was a great learning experience for me from her determined and persistent drive to make A Cut Above literally above the rest. During my interview with her for my Online TV program The Entrepreneur Media Expose, I asked her the question of what was the most challenging obstacle she encountered throughout her journey and she mentioned to me that it was when each time she wanted to grow her business. She mentioned 3 specific things that became a real pain: backstabbing by people she trusted, people resigning and people wanted to start their own business. It really made a lot of sense to me and I had a little smile. Being an entrepreneur myself, I understood. 31 years later after she started her first salon, she is as elegant as when she first started out. I congratulate her for all her successes and I look forward to her continuous success as she is a lady that knows what she wants. Here’s to Winnie Loo, a 1st class entrepreneur. Hoo Ah!

I believe that it's normal in a business world to encounter these 3 challenges: backstabbing by people you trusted, people resigning and people wanted to start their own business. When you have been through all that...well what else can you do to me?...I will maintain and preserve my values, a guide that's keep me move forward stronger and better.

I believe its what you said EC, when the business reaches a certain level, the above will not effect it so much. It will continue to grow positively with or without those people. No one is indispensable.

There is no entrepreneur, anywhere, whose journey is without setbacks and crossroads. To be a successful entreprenuer, nothing is impossible if he has great confidence, perseverence and innovative visions.

there are no such things as no challenges at all in life.
example can be seen from my good friend who are going to get married soon. he needs to go up and down from JAIS, then talk with the Penghulu Kampung, then do the HIV AIDS test, then the Intro to Islamic Marriage 101 and the list is still ongoing. nothing comes easy.

Opening own business is not easy as we see. There will be alot of challenges and problems. From the way we overcome the challenges we will know whether we are deserved to become the 1st class entrepreneur or not.

I believe its a cycle that most business go through. People will come and go. As the one who stays, we need to make sure that we are always on the right track.

Don't be afraid of the challenges and failure. Everyone will experience failure at least once in their life. Just don't waste our energy trying to cover up failure. We need to learn from the failure and go on to the next challenge. sometimes it is OK to fail. If we're not failing, we will not growing

Agreed with Su. Most organizations and business are facing the same challenge - People will come and go. The most important thing is the person contribute and adding values to the organizations when he/she was with the company.

challenges are normal in any business or even in life. it takes persistence and "never say die" attitude to get through them.

For those who back stab, bitch about their company or even do unethical things, it will be back to haunt then one fine day.

If you're going to resign, Just do it with dignity and intergrity in tact!
