NOTHING COMES EASY BUT EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

This past month has been extremely challenging for me personally due to the following factors that were both planned and unexpected.

  1. My daily workout sessions in the gym everyday. And yes I do not miss them at all.
  2. My regular daily & weekly meetings with both ATCEN & PORTMAN EDUCATION GROUPS.
  3. My semester classes with assignments and college activities to advice and guide.
  4. My additional meetings, dinners & attending events for new business growth with various parties from politicians to business associates.
  5. Baby G falling sick with asthma in his old age with additional attention needed with numerous visits to the vet not forgetting my daily contribution to my household chores.
  6. My Dad having to amputate his toe and my daily visits 2 times a day to the hospital to care for him. He is still in the hospital in Ipoh now with a 2nd surgery happening soon.
  7. The continuous development of MINES 2 building to ensure that its ready for the official launch and to help get it ready for the development of the ecosystem.
  8. 2 HUGE events in a single day organised by our team – Entrepreneur Convention 2018 & PORTMAN Mid Autumn Festival 2018.  Not forgetting Awesome Leadership Camp 2018 the week before.
  9. Monthly HUGE events every month for the next 6 months to ensure we are ready for a very critical period of marketing for our group of companies growth for 2019.
  10. Old staff leaving and New staff joining for things to be handed over and properly trained.

The above made it extremely tough and challenging physically, mentally and emotionally for me. But I always believe in the following and that is what keeps me going and going and going..:

  1. What goes up must come down and what is down will go up. Nothing is permanently bad or permanently good.
  2. Tough times do not last, tough people do and I am pretty tough as I have decided that I am.
  3. Do not complain, blame and give excuses as I know I determine what happens to me and the outcomes that I want to see.
  4. Quitters never win and winners never quit.

Things happen for a reason and for better days to come. It always does. NOTHING COMES EASY BUT EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE. We just have to believe, take massive actions and the results will favour those that work hard for it.

Your non-stop spirit and encouragement to us make us become more stronger everyday. Everything must work harder then only we can get what we want.

Thank you Mr. Ernie.

That is what I saw in you. If people really understand that words, it meaning a lot of things with high responsibility. Everyone have their own commitment, but either you are trying hard to full-fill and complete your commitment or to give-up.

Again it is your CHOICE

I does not like to eat Vegie, but I start to challenge my self to try it. Why?

As you said ALL are in YOUR MIND

Challenges are difficult and everyone will undergo this path somewhere in their lives. Either we make it or break it. During these difficult times things may seem at its peak and utterly difficult to handle. But once we overcome it we will realise that sometimes challenges are there to help us understand lessons that we failed to take into consideration when we are too busy with life. We don’t grow when things are easy. We grow when we face challenges.

Tan SK said...

Challenges are unavoidable in everyone’s life and nobody has the privilege to escape from it. Somehow, they are not that frightening; and it all depends on our methods of handling them. Be bold and break through the wall, as you will never know what is waiting for you at another end.

Kevin Jaffery said...

Everyone have their own rainy and sunny days, the difference is always, how we handled the situation. I respect you Mr.Ernie for not giving up even though lots of obstacles in front of you. It is so incredible to see you manage your time well despite all the unexpected and expected event, time surely waits for no one. I like the Malay new quote you said yesterday during our Townhall meeting, " apa yang tidak mungkin, kita mungkin kan", hence let us all work hard together to 'mungkin kan' all the dreams.

I believes, people have their own challenges in their life.

These challenges can be many factor.

Hence, thus people have positive mind will do their best to overcome the challenges.

Those people who have negative mind, tend to quit and just let it be.

At the end, a person who never give up will succeed and quitters will never succeed.

First and foremost, I'm sorry to hear the sad news about your father. We here in PORTMAN pray for his speedy recovery! The ups and downs in life is a beautiful mystery that human beings need to go through. From the Islamic perspective, anything happens to us in this world is actually a test from His Almighty. Trust me, He would not test us with something that we could not endure. People might be able to give you the moral support but at the end of the day, you are the one who's going through the hardship. What I can say here boss, have a faith and hold on. There is always a rainbow after the rain.

I believe that if you do good, good things will happen. Everything is completely unplanned. Sometimes bad things happen to good-hearted people and sometimes good things happen to bad people. But at least if we try to do good things, then we're spending our time doing something worthwhile. Never regret anything that has happened in your life. It cannot be changed, undone, or forgotten. So take it as a lesson learned and move on.

The write up is definitely a great inspiration for the ones who are finding difficulties and giving up on the precious life that GOD gifted us with.

Setting goals is very easy but working towards it is the hardest part ever, people tend to give up during the phase. But as you said, NOTHING is impossible. Personally I do agree with that statement as I have accomplished certain goals in my life which once I thought it was impossible for me to get to where I am now. I believed in myself and my capability without giving too much of concern on certain people's negative judgment. My frequent reminder to myself is, "No one knows me better than I do".

Believing in myself is my strength because I know my capabilities!

Yes from the topics I have already felt the same NOTHING COMES EASY BUT EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

It reminds me how I overcome to run two events at the same day, my leg was pain and I was exhausted. But what made me keep going and stay until the end of the events? Is myself, I had decided that I need to make the events happen and I must keep the events running smooth and awesome so no matter how pain how exhaust I am, I will not stop!

Only yourself can define who you are by yourself start believing and take massive action!

Thanks for the sharing Mr. Ernie.

We always have to be prepared and be equipped with the right kind of mindset to face everything life has to throw at us. Not everything we plan happens as it should but if we are always on our heels, we can overcome all uncertainties in life. Another wonderful piece of write up Mr. Ernie.

Sorry for the late comment.

Throughout this month, I made a decision and started to work on it and transform my life to the next level.

Previously I workout in the morning 7am and it could not arrive office on time.
Then I changed to work out at night, and I have to give up my events & activities, sometimes I will be late & rushing for gym to work out too.

After seeing the progress of Mr. Ernie becomes healthier, it inspired a lot of people to work on it and follow. Mr. Ernie has always proven to us on turning IMPOSSIBLE to POSSIBLE!
Nothing comes easy, but everything is POSSIBLE.

Yes. I have decided once again to workout everyday in the morning. And this time will be 6am. I have done it for a month, it really helps a lot at work. More fresh, more enegetic and sharp.

After the Thailand trip, rest for 5 days. Everything went down, I am going to continue my workout and let me be more Seng Mok to make smart decisions.

Good to see Mr. Ernie, changing so many things and the direction still achieves and going higher. Staff changed, Body health changed, Stage of the business changed, Family health issue changed, expectation of work changed, the organization is changing to become healtier & healtier after Mr. Ernie says it, prove it and now everyone is believes it.

Mr. Ernie you are a person that I highly respected. No matter what you say, I will follow and do. I just cannot keep up so fast so geng like you. But I believe the day will come.

Thanks for taking care all of us even you have your tough time in family and yourself.
Thanks for not giving up on our incompetence.
Thanks for caring our health more than everyone.
Lastly, I wish Uncle Chen speedy recovery and stay healthy, same goes to Mr. Ernie.
Let's work and build the healthy legacy together!
